2. Complete WiFi setup
Once the WiFi/HotSpot setup is complete, the setup invoice becomes due immediately.
3. Continue live
Settle setup, keep the monthly subscription active, then choose Tajira collection or your own PayBill/Till.

If customers buy KES 10,000 net WiFi sales through Tajira, the collection fee is KES 500 plus the monthly subscription.

If you use your own shortcode, you pay the Starter or Silver monthly subscription only. There is no 5% collection fee.

Tajira Collects
Best when you want Tajira to handle customer payment collection.
- Customer STK payments use the Tajira platform gateway.
- Tajira charges 5% of net sales collected through the platform.
- The Starter or Silver monthly subscription still applies.
- No Daraja setup is needed before first launch.
- Collections and payout records stay visible in the dashboard.
Use Your Own PayBill
Best when payments should land directly in your shortcode.
- Add your own PayBill/Till Daraja credentials during onboarding.
- Tajira runs the portal, access rules, payment checks, and router workflows.
- The system invoices the monthly subscription based on the selected plan or month-end user count.
- No 5% collection fee is added because payments do not pass through the Tajira gateway.
